Can Christ Forgive All Sin?

I have been told all my life that, through Christ all sins can be forgiven, but is this true. Can a person commit a sin that even Christ cannot or will not forgive? The answer is yes.

All Christians should agree that Christ came for the redemption of our sins. As a matter of fact, Webster’s dictionary describes “redemption” as salvation from sin through Christ’s sacrifice.

But there is a sin described in the scriptures that even Christ will not and cannot pardon. That sin is described as Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost in Matthew chapter 12 verses 31-33.

Verse 31: “Wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.”

Verse 32: “And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”

Verse 33: “Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.”

Mark chapter 3 verses 28-29 tells us, verse 28: “Verily I say unto you, all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme.”

Verse 29: “But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness but is in danger of eternal damnation.”

This message by Christ was given in front of a crowd in the Temple, but it was directed at the racially mixed Scribes and Pharisees that were accusing Jesus of casting out devils, by the power of Beelzebub (Satan). How do we know that they were racially mixed? In Matthew chapter 12 verse 39, Christ tells them that they are “an evil and adulterous generation”.

The meaning of the word adulterous as well as adultery means to adulterate, which Webster’s dictionary describes as to pollute, to make impure. The word generation described in Webster’s dictionary can mean one's offspring or descendants. So, what Christ has just told these Scribes and Pharisees is that they are an “Evil Polluted Offspring”.

But whose offspring? The answer to this question is in John chapter 8 verses 42-47.

Verse 42: “ Jesus said unto them, (Scribes & Pharisees) if God were your father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.”

Verse 43: “ Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word.”

Verse 44: “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning (CAIN), and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

Verse 45: “And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.” Verse 46: “Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?”

Verse 47: “He that is of God heareth God’s word: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.”

Let us now move to the meaning of the word blasphemy as used in Matthew chapter 12 verses 31-33, and Mark chapter 3 verses 28-29. Webster’s dictionary describes blasphemy as a contemptuous or profane action, utterance, or writing concerning God.

We are told in Matthew chapter 12 verse 31 that all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men, it then goes on to say, but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. It is clear, that once you blaspheme the Holy Ghost it cannot be taken back or changed. So where is the Holy Ghost located that one could blaspheme against it? The answer to this question can be found in 1 Corinthians chapter 6 verses 19-20.

Verse 19: “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

Verse 20: “For ye are bought with a price: therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

That is clear enough, the Holy Ghost resides in our physical bodies. So, what kind of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost and our physical bodies is so permanent, so final that it cannot be taken back or changed, and for which there is no forgiveness, the answer is race-mixing.

That is right, race-mixing. Remember what Christ said in Matthew chapter 12 verse 33: “Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.” As I have already made it clear, symbolism is used throughout the Bible.

In verse 33, Jesus was using the symbol of the good and bad trees and their fruit to describe the good man and his seed/offspring, and the evil man and his seed/offspring.

For instance, in Jeremiah chapter 2 verses 11-13 we read, verse 11: “Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? But my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.”

Verse 12: “Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord.”

Verse 13: “For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the foundation of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.”

It could not be more obvious as to the meaning of these verses. These people have committed two great sins, one by turning away from the one true God and taking up with false gods, and the other by practicing miscegenation (race-mixing).

God is the foundation of living waters, the Holy Ghost. The cisterns, broken cisterns that these people have made are racially mixed offspring not suitable to contain the Holy Ghost, which is the spirit of God.

Again, in Jeremiah chapter 2 verses 21-23 we read, verse 21: “Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?”

Verse 22: “For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord God.”

Verse 23: “How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? See thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways.”

These verses are perfectly clear, God is saying that he created a noble vine (people) of a pure seed/offspring and that they have degenerated or polluted themselves by race-mixing with a strange vine (people). He goes on to tell them that no amount of soap (prayer for forgiveness) can cover this sin of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.

God goes even farther by comparing them to a dromedary. Webster’s dictionary describes the word dromedary as a one humped domesticated camel widely used as a beast of burden.

The word traversing literally means to deny formally an allegation of fact. And the word Baalim basically means false gods.

There is no redemption for blasphemy against the Holy Ghost which is the spirit of God. If you ever wondered what angered God so strongly that he would rather kill off his Adamite people except for Noah, rather than allow them to continue in their sins, the answer is the blaspheme of the Holy Ghost.

God makes it clear why he was angered in Genesis chapter 6 verse 12: “And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.”

Now there was only one reason that God allowed Noah and his family to live, and it was recorded in Genesis chapter 6 verse 9. Verse 9: “These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”

Noah was not perfect, like all of us he was a sinner and was even known to drink a little too much wine from time to time.

But Noah was perfect in one thing. Noah had not blasphemed against the Holy Ghost by race-mixing. Noah was perfect in his generations (seed/offspring) and his offspring were racially pure Adamites.

In today’s world with all the knowledge and information at our fingertips, it is amazing how the true definitions of words have been lost. For instance, in most churches and homes, the word bastard is defined as a child born out of wedlock.

But the true meaning and origin of that word can be easily found in Strong’s Concordance of the Bible, word # 4464. The word bastard originally comes from the Hebrew word Mamzer, a mongrel.

Webster’s dictionary describes the word mongrel as, interbreeding between races, to mongrelize.

In Deuteronomy chapter 23 verse 2, you can read for yourself how God feels about this type of sin against his Holy Spirit.

Verse 2: “ A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.”

There is no forgiveness for the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, which is the spirit of God. The mongrel offspring from race-mixing is the broken cisterns that cannot contain the spirit of God.

Hosea chapter 4 verse 6.

Verse 6: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

Remember what God said in II Chronicles chapter 7 verse 14.

Verse 14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.”

Through Christ all sins can be forgiven, except one, and that is the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.
