The Original Sin

All my life, and I am sure all of yours, we have been told that the original sin in the garden of Eden was the breaking of God's law on eating or partaking of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, you know, (Eve eating an apple).

Before I get started on this subject let us first read 1 Corinthians Chapter 13 verse 11.

Verse 11: “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

The story of Eve eating an apple may be an acceptable fairy tale type of story for the Christian establishment and children, but I am not a child, and neither are you. So, let us get to the truth of what actually took place in Eden.

OK, so we have already established that in the subject of “GENESIS” Adam and Eve were not alone in the garden of Eden. There were other races in the garden including Satan, as we read in Genesis chapter 3 verse 1.

Verse 1: “Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, yea, hath God said, ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”

So, who and what is this serpent? When taking the word serpent back to its original Hebrew, which is #5175 which comes from # 5172 in the Strong's Concordance you come up with the Hebrew word Nachash, which literally means to “whisper a magic spell, divine enchanter”.

This serpent was no mere scaly snake wiggling around and physically talking to Eve.

Once again, we are not children and we know that no snake has the ability to speak, this was Satan. In Genesis chapter 3 verses 3-6 Eve continues to speak with the serpent/Satan.

Verse 3: “But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.”

Verse 4: “And the serpent said unto the woman, ye shall not surely die.”

Verse 5: “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as god's, knowing good and evil.”

Verse 6: “And when the women saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”

Once again, we all know there is no such thing as a tree that bears fruit that can make you wise. As I stated in the subject of “GENESIS” symbolism is often used in the bible for a description of things and events.

In Genesis chapter 3 verses 12-13 God calls out Adam and Eve about what they have done.

Verse 12: “And the man said, the woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.”

Verse 13: “And the Lord God said unto the woman, what is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, the serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.”

So, what exactly is the true meaning of the word beguiled? In the Strong's Concordance the word beguiled which is #5377 is the Hebrew word Nacha which literally means “to lead astray, delude, deceive, to seduce”.

When Eve told God that she had been beguiled, she was actually confessing to God that Satan had sexually seduced her. In God's anger for what Satan had done he put a curse on the serpent/Satan in Genesis chapter 3 verses 14-15.

Verse 14: “And the Lord God said unto the serpent, because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life.”

Verse 15: “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

Let us make one thing perfectly clear about verse 14, serpents already crawl on their belly in the dust or dirt of the ground, so this is no snake. In verse 15 the word enmity and seed are used.

The word enmity translated back to the original Hebrew in the Strong's Concordance #342 literally means hostility, hatred. The word seed translated back to the original Hebrew #2233 literally means posterity, carnally, child.

It is obvious that what clearly took place in the garden between the serpent/Satan and Eve was in fact sexual intercourse, and Cain was the son of that seduction.

Eve became pregnant by the seed of the serpent/Satan, and in Genesis chapter 4 verses 1-2 she also becomes pregnant by the seed of Adam.

Verse 1: “And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.”

Eve did in fact get a man from the Lord from Adam. What she did not realize is that she was already pregnant from her first sexual encounter.

Verse 2: “And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.”

It is true, for a woman to get pregnant by two men at the same time and have two different sons is extremely rare, but it is not unheard of in the medical community. This is exactly what took place, Eve gave birth first to Cain then Abel.

When looking up the word seed in Webster's dictionary you will find several meanings, the descriptions that fit best for our subject are as follows: offspring, descendants, family stock, ancestry, sperm.

So far, I have given you evidence out of the old testament proving that the serpent in the garden of Eden was in fact Satan.

Now let us go to the new testament for even more overwhelming evidence starting in Matthew chapter 3 verse 7 and then chapter 12 verse 34.

Verse 7: “But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?”

Verse 34: “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”

The word viper in Webster’s dictionary literally means a malicious or treacherous person. Now come on people, you just read two verses where Christ is clearly speaking to a crowd of people not snakes/vipers.

Now let us read Matthew chapter 23 verses 29, 33 & 35.

Verse 29: “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build tombs of the prophets and garnish the sepulchers of the righteous.”

Verse 33: “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?”

Verse 35: “That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the alter.”

In the last three verses Christ is obviously speaking to the same people using the word serpent and viper as a description for these people just as it was used in the old testament. And verse 35 clearly points out that these viper/serpents are from the same bloodline that are responsible for the first murder which was righteous Abel. The same statements about these vipers/serpents can be found in Luke chapter 3 verse 7 & Luke chapter 11 verse 51.

Verse 7: “Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?”

Verse 51: “From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, it shall be required of this generation.”

Is there any evidence as to who was Cain's father, of course? In 1 John chapter 3 verse 12.

Verse 12: “Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.”

In the parable of the sower Christ explains in Matthew chapter 13 verse 19.

Verse 19: “When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which receiveth seed by the wayside.”

In Matthew chapter 13 verses 38-39 Christ explains the parable of the tares.

Verse 38: “The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one.”

Verse 39: “The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.”

So, who is this wicked one? To find out we go to the Strong's Concordance to translate the word wicked into its original Greek language which is #4190, meaning to have an evil affect or influence, degeneracy from original virtue, diseased, mischief, malice, lewd, malicious wickedness, the devil.

Serpent, Viper, Satan, the Devil or the Wicked One, all names that represent the same fallen Archangel. An evil and completely corrupt being, whose single desire is to destroy God's creation because of his insane jealousy for our Heavenly Father.

Christians of old understood and accepted this fact, but today more and more churches regard Satan as simply a symbol of sinfulness, not a real entity.

Well, he is real, and from the beginning to this very day his relentless attacks to destroy God's people has never stopped.

Through his evil and satanic influence on man he has used wars, famine, pestilence, greed, and sexual degeneracy to corrupt and destroy God's people and Christ's church with false doctrine.

He has created false religions to deceive the masses and to help distort and pervert true Christian doctrine worldwide. On the subject of “THE ORIGINAL SIN” the question was simply, was Eve eating an apple the original sin in the garden of Eden, and the answer is clearly “NO”.
